Pasture Raised Meat DirectoryThe Adirondack North Country Pasture Raised Meat Directory lists farmers who raise their animals primarily on pasture and sell the meat and other farm grown foods directly to the consumer. The farmers may sell the products from their farm, farm stand, farmers’ market, CSA, by delivery routes and/or outlets. Please call before to confirm. The original list of 17 farmers (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and St. Lawrence Counties) published in 2005 was merged, and updated, in mid 2008 with another 35 (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Lewis, Saratoga, St. Lawrence, Warren, Washington Counties). The 2008 list was compiled by Mary Thill for the article Bone Appetit which she wrote for the July issue of Adirondack Life. ANCA thanks Adirondack Life for permission to post online the list of farmers, farmers’ markets and web resources from the article. ANCA mentored Paul Smiths College students as they completed their senior thesis by creating the booklet Pasture Fed Meat Recipes. Available in print.
