2017 LED Street Light Workshop

LED Street Lights: Procurement, Technology and Regulatory Issues for Municipalities

On August 9th 2017, ANCA's Clean Energy Program hosted a workshop at the Plattsburgh Town Hall to share information and resources for LED street light conversion with municipal leaders. Approximately 70 participants (from across the state) attended in-person or by videoconference to discuss with LED conversion experts how to reduce expenses as well as improve streetlight quality in their communities.

Attendees learned about the pros and cons of utility program conversion vs. municipal purchase, pathways for procurement, options for financing, technology, and resources they can use to save time during project planning. The session recordings are listed below in chronological order
