Assemblywoman touting $300,000 farm-to-school program included in new state budget

A North Country Assemblywoman says $300,000 for a farm-to-school pilot
program will help promote healthy eating for St. Lawrence County students.

The pilot, which right now is underway at Madrid-Waddington Central, is
being administered by the Adirondack North Country Association. A recent
report from ANCA noted 16 schools in Jefferson and St. Lawrence County had
spent just over $75,000 from the pilot program funds by Dec. 31.
