The ADI Team has been working on several initiatives designed to engage and empower community members so they can actively advance diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the region:
• ADI staff have been recruiting and convening community members in Saranac Lake, Long Lake, Malone and Salmon River to participate in a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Facilitator Training program. Once trained, these community-based facilitators will be among “The ADI 100" across the Adirondack Region.
• ADI's David Epstein HaLevi, ANCA's Dani Delaini, business support partners and select businesses in Saranac Lake and Keene have begun co-creating a Business Welcoming Microcredential, which will provide regional businesses with training and tools to make their spaces and places of work more welcoming to all.
