An analysis of the North Country's forest products industry
* Maintaining stability in the regional forest markets is critical for the whole industry. Loss in any one sector in the value chain (including pulp users, biomass producers and users and loggers) could threaten the viability of the whole.
* Whereas there are enough loggers to support demands in the current marketplace, within five years the region is likely to be facing a shortage of loggers.
Following a successful first-year event in 2016, ANCA will be hosting the second annual Bike the Barns - a one-day recreational road cycling tour that highlights the unique agricultural communities of the North Country.
