The Clean Energy Program is proud to administer ANCA’s Clean Energy Economy Conference. Currently in its seventh year, this annual event provides unique participatory opportunities for cross-sector networking, information gathering and discussion of cutting-edge energy projects and policy in New York State.
This year's conference will be hosted October 24 & 25 at the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls, NY.
The Clean Energy Program also hosts periodic energy “Summits” and workshops for municipal officials in the North Country. These one-day events enable participants to share/access information and resources on an energy topic relevant to their communities and to coordinate activities with assistance from our staff, partners, and invited energy experts.
Recent examples include:
Interconnection: Local Planning and Review for Large Scale Solar. A collaboration between ANCA, the Town of Plattsburgh, and the County of Franklin Industrial Development Agency, this 2018 workshop and forum for local municipal officials (hosted at Clinton Community College's Institute for Advanced Manufacturing) drew attendees from two states and nine counties. The workshop agenda and session presentations are available on our website.
North Country Community Distributed Generation Summit hosted at the Wild Center in 2016, which drew over 60 attendees from private, public, and community sectors. Session presentations can be viewed here.
LED Street Lights: Procurement, Technology and Regulatory Issues for Municipalities, a workshop hosted in fall 2017 at the Plattsburgh Town Hall. Approximately 70 participants attended in-person or by videoconference. See the provided link for session recordings.
