Professional Training Opportunities

Professional training opportunities are offered on Tuesday 10/23, Wednesday 10/24, and Thursday 10/25.  

Where indicated, registration for training will be handled by individual training organization and the links below will take you to the appropriate websites.

Please contact Hannah at 518-891-6200 to arrange for 1-Day special rates for trainees.  A receipt of your registration for a training session is required for any pother reduced rates offers. 


TUESDAY 10/23    (Pre-Conference)

• Groups of three or more employees from one company: $124 per person
• Currently registered college students and staff: $50 per person (with valid ID).

    *Special rate of $50 for previous attendees who would like to refresh their knowledge and repeat the class.

All trainees receive newly-released and detailed publication: Design Assistance Manual for High Efficiency Low Emissions Biomass Boiler Systems. 

This course qualifies for 7 AIA learning units (equivalent to 7 PDH for NY professional engineers).

This course is designed to familiarize municipal officials, building code officials and other important decision makers with NYS Energy Conservation Construction Code (NYSECCC) and the role of third party energy professionals can take to assure energy code compliance and the subsequent benefits.

 

AIA, ICC, IACET, GBCI, BPI and NYSDOS continuing education credits are available for this course.

2.  Air-to-Water Heat Pumps 101 - 1:00-3:00 pm, Queensbury Hotel

Thursday 10/25 (Conference Day 2)

This course will address the much misunderstood requirements for whole-house mechanical ventilation in the RCNYS- and ECCCNYS-2016.  The course will cover the sections of both codes in detail and work through each for full understanding.  Also covered will be the latest NYS-DOS Technical Bulletin on the subject.  Different systems and equipment to satisfy those requirements, their sizing and installation will also be covered.  Expo equipment will be available to show attendees the specifics pf several types of equipment as well – note that NO PREFERENCE will be shown for any of said manufacturer or type of equipment – they will be shown for hands-on understanding of the technologies available only.
