The Clean Energy Program works to increase energy savings and independence for communities in the North Country and to establish a regional marketplace for renewable energy. We help North Country communities secure resources, information and expertise to accomplish energy improvement projects and make affordable investments in clean energy technology. Focusing on the region, we cultivate and coordinate private-public partnerships to advance strategies for a clean energy economy that benefit local residents and businesses.
To advance best practices, we support peer-to-peer collaboration, knowledge sharing and recognition for the North Country through our annual Clean Energy Economy Conference and related events.
At the heart of our approach are a team of field staff, Energy Circuit Riders, who provide direct, responsive assistance to North Country communities. They also publish a regular Clean Energy Newsletter to highlight workshops and related events, municipal activities and funding opportunities.
